This was my last delivery from colourpop from their sale plus free international shipping no minimum, unfortunately it was bitter sweet as the two pressed shadows were probably my favourite, the Super Shock Shadow was delivered in the wrong shade . The error was completely theirs. Instead of talking about the colours I feel sad to report that instead of making good and sending me the correct shade as it was their mistake. I was offered a coupon or refund. Now I bought during the Free Shipping as I live in Canada this is very important factor, for me to replace the shadow would cost me 3x more!! I think Colourpop is a wonderful company with great products but perhaps they don’t care about making it right and making the customer happy, instead they throw a bone at me and close the door! I felt really sad about this!!
On a good note I loved the Pressed Shadows in Going Steady a beautiful deep matte plum colour and Note To Self which is a gorgeous matte finish that is brown / neutral/ peach .
The only Super Shock I ordered was Hydroplane my wild card a beautiful blue of medium tone but received Dare which is a purple/ pink shimmer, it’s ok but more importantly not what I paid for!!
I took full advantage of Colourpop’s sale on SS, lippies and especially Pressed Eyeshadows since I had none! The best part is that they had free shipping with no minimum. I ordered stuff everyday which would never happen normally! This bundle contained three pressed shadows Flowerboy, Get Out and Cloud Nine. All of which are beautifully pigmented and feel like butter! Not surprised because I love pretty much everything that Colourpop has to offer! You cannot go wrong with any of these shadows.
Wearing all three of these shadows plus LAX liquid lipstick from Colourpop as well, it is my favourite shade.
I am always so excited to get my Medusa Makeup Subscription Beauty Box each month! I try and not to look at others posts do I can be truly excited but I always look and it’s fine because I am always happy regardless! This month did not disappoint, as it contains four items! First being a new to company item their baked eyeshadow in Bitchin, a shimmering champagne colour that is perfect especially for this summer. It glides on perfectly with strong pigmentation!
Wearing everything from my May Medusa Makeup Box
Second item is another new product to Medusa is their Lip Paint Remover which will come in handy as their Lip Paint does not budge at all. I did a video last month running my hand under water and it stayed put! So I think I will like this and it comes in a glass bottle which is very nice.
Thirdly was a Lip Paint in the colour Shag, which is a peachy neutral for me, another great item for summer. Its definitely beach proof, waterproof etc! You will be good to go girl the day with little touch ups needed!
Forth item is my favourite item of this box is the Glitter in Pegasus, which is exactly what it looks like . Super fine glitter that shimmers in purple, lavender, pink, and translucent , my favourite!!!It will be perfect for festival season this summer. It’s light and ethereal so you can go little or go big if you choose but will not be disappointed either way!
All in all I am very pleased with this months Beauty Box and will use each and every item . Now I can’t wait to see what next month will be… always my obsession starts immediately after this!! Stay tuned or sign up and get surprised each month for yourself! MedusaMakeup.com This months value was $38 US and still great value for us Canadians. I hope next month contains Pompeii eye dust because Iam a tad obsessed with that right now… here’s hoping!!
I had the greatest pleasure of attending Sheree Rasmussen Art Opening of her beautiful textile art . Her gallery is located at her home in picturesque countryside outside if Warkworth in Cramahe, Ontario. I was greeted by the blooming cherry blossoms and little lilac trees leading to the entrance of her modernist gallery. Once inside I was greeted by the artist herself who was gracious and inviting as this was our first time meeting each other and her lovely friend from Toronto as well.I was instantly happy as I find her textile art to be happy as it is always so colourful and has a depth of a variety of mediums that together create the most wonderful culmination. I am a sewer so I am naturally drawn to fabrics but her uniqueness is truly inspiring!I absolutely enjoyed finally getting a chance to see her work up close as until now have only be an admirer on Instagram of all places. I fell in love with one of her pieces that is made of wire and hospital grade dissolving material that I am not exactly sure of the details but created the most ethereal, bright piece that reminded me of a vintage handbag because partly of its shape.I hope everyone can get an opportunity to see her work as it is unique and inspiring!
Sheree’s creativity continued outside as she told me to follow the path to the red structure located at the top of her hill. Her red metal vertical framed building was incredible and included a tree top view of her property with a loft sleeping area. It was wow! and will be available on Air bnb she said. Well worth the venture to stay at such a creative and picturesque property.
This was my very first purchase of their Super Shock Shadows and I was completely prepared to love them as I am a fan of the lipstick already .Colourpop has the formula I love which is liquid to a powdery matte finish in the lipstick department. The shadows did not disappoint! I am relatively new to the eyeshadow part of makeup but wow these are really incredible! Amazing crazy pigment and zero fallout !!! I can load up the brush and nothing falls, I don’t know how they do it but even with the exchange and shipping it’s fairly affordable and reasonable and the quality blows my mind. New obsession getting more and trying their pressed eyeshadow next! I ordered four colours and received two free brushes with this ordering. Which reminds me thst they are constantly having promos and creating new products constantly, hard to keep up! The colours I choose were Ignition from the Amanda Steele Collection, Central Perk, Hot Totty and Porter. I love all of them but my favourite is Central Perk, a dark burgundy matte. Porter is a tad lighter and a a slight shimmer to it. Another really great colour. Ignition is light lavender shimmer and is a nice lid colour for the summer I am thinking .Hot Totty was my wild card , I was drawn to it online but thought it might too bright. It is bright but completely wearable all the time. Can be used in the crease or lid and or amped up to be worn brighter.I received a shader and blending brushes both of which work beautifully with these shadows. I am very pleased with this purchase from Colourpop!!
This month in our Medusa Makeup Subscription Beauty box we received 4 items. Firstly a blush inJezebel, which I was a little disappointed about only because we have already received a blush in another colour months previous. But it looks lovely and the compact is very large and solid with a mirror.
Secondly,I received a eye dust in the colour Helter Skelter. One can never have too many of these because they really are super pigmented and wear very well. This is a smoky dark grey.
Thirdly, I received a Eyeliner Seal, which is very interesting Mix eye dust and seal to create a paste and apply. Haven’t tried it yet but I will for sure
Lastly I received a medusa Makeup brush for eyeliner. The bristles are soft and I feel it will work nicely with the seal I got with it.
All in all I happy that there were four items all of which are wonderful.Although next months I wish for five items and some of their more matte eye dusts in neutrals or their new items.
